Fat plant attributable to Napoleon Martinuzzi.
Extremely worked murano glass sculpture depicting succulent plant.
Innate elegance and refinement.
This specimen of a succulent plant encompasses within it numerous types of mouth-blown glass work.
The complexity of each element is astounding.
The vase has a base with gold inclusions, and the body is iridescent purple.
The succulent plant has an amber glass body with gold inclusions, and the leaves are submerged opaline glass covered with amber glass.
Murano glass succulents were designed and presented at the Milan Triennale by Napoleone Martinuzzi.
Napoleone Martinuzzi was born to a family of master glassmakers in Venice, he was' one of the greatest glass designers. He collaborated with several glassworks including Venini.
The work has no signature which is common for works of the period.
