About the Item
This hookah base and plate is made of clear glass, designed specifically for the Persian market. The clear glass is covered with an amber layer, The circular body is decorated with intricate painting and skillful glass cutting, which highlights the interplay between the amber overlay and the underlying clear glass. There are four cut panels on the body, complemented by flower painting and gilding, the neck is also richly decorated with both cutting and painting and gilding. This piece is made in the 19th century style, it comes from the showroom of the now defunct Egermann 20th century glass company, Both pieces are in perfect condition with no damage. This piece comes from a pair set, the second piece is still in the possession of the original owner.
