About the Item
A stylish Italian Murano large green art glass gourd dating from the latter 20th century. The hand-blown gourd is of tall shape with a wide rounded base and ribbed body narrowing to the top and applied with a trailing green glass stem attached with clear glass with gold aventrine inclusions. The body of the gourd is made in cased white glass with green patterning with the base recessed and polished. The gourd is not marked.
Provenance: acquired from the UK art market.
In good condition with wear associated with age and use.
