Set of 12 Murano's Colored Long Drink Glasses By Nason Moretti, Italy 60s
About the Item
It would be limiting to define the item I am offering for sale as a simple set of vintage glasses, not only for the very high quality of the blown Murano bark glass they are made of, but above all for their ingenious design; In fact, the unusual polylobed section of these Long Drink glasses will allow you to decide whether to use them to serve Gin Tonic or to match their sides like mosaic tiles to create a splendid multi-colored vase.
Made in Italy between the 60s and 70s, this set of Collins glasses was produced by a historic company in the Venice lagoon that is still a leader in the production of Murano glass: "Nasono & Moretti"
Although the adhesive label certifying their production is no longer present, they are documented in various catalogs produced by Italian auction houses.
Although the Nasono & Moretti company is still active, this set of glasses is out of production, making it a rare item.
Their polylobed shape and the use of bark Murano glass recall the elements that make up the amazing modular chandeliers designed by Toni Zuccheri for Venini during the 60s and 70s.
This set of Tumbler Glasses from the mid-20th century modern is composed of 12 pieces that in turn compose 3 "Vases".
Each vase is composed of 4 canes/glasses of different colors: Transparent, Smoked Brown, Magenta Red, Ultramarine Blue.
Each piece that makes up this set of glasses is intact and free of chips.
