About the Item

This unique work of art was created for the Prague Antiques Fair focusing on art glass which took place in April 2025. The work is made in only one copy, as a tribute to the Czech glassmaking industry that lives on and at the same time to respect the immortal art of ancient masters such as the Renaissance painter Albrecht Dürer. Considering today's modern era, there is a combination of both modern style and the beauty of historical art. And that's exactly what was intended, a marriage of the present and the past. Plate and pedestal in a more modern style and preserving Dürer's handwriting . The engraving is made using the old copper engraving technique. The engraving is accompanied by a Latin inscription: "May all things return to beauty and morals" and that life is short and art eternal. The engraving was made by Czech glassmaker Radek Šuda. He is also a lover of historical glass and owns a small collection of glass. This piece is designed for both lovers of modern and historical art, a beautiful addition to the interior, both modern and in a historical style.
