About the Item

This colorful antique French Majolica charger was created in France, circa 1860. Round in shape, the hand painted platter depicts an outdoor "Fete Champetre" scene with young children chatting near a pond. The large Louis XV style charger is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns wonderful and bright colors on a dark blue background. Use this porcelain charger on a table as a centerpiece, or hang it on a kitchen wall for beautiful color. Marking in the back "L. M. & Cie" for further authentication. Measures: Diameter 18".
