Canton Style Davenport England A beautiful porcelain dish and 5 side plates Printed in light to medium blue with the Two Temples chinoiserie pattern, the inner borders with distinctive gilt beading and rims also finished in gold. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Rare to find complete and in such good order. Each piece printed in blue with the early Davenport Stone China impressed mark 1805-1820 and 5 plates have additionally red mark, 1870-1886 Plates have d 17 cm Dish 26 x 23 x 3,3 cm The china produced by Messrs. Davenport is of remarkably fine and good quality, both in body, in glaze, and in make, and in all these particulars ranks among the best produced in the district. Their tea and dessert ware is of extreme excellence, and many of the patterns are unsurpassed for richness of colouring and gilding by any other house. Please check carefully all photos
