Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Dish and two plates
Circa 1740
The Chinese Export Famille Rose porcelain pieces are each painted with a blue pot of flowers, a blue bowl with pomegranate, and a ribbon tied bouquet of pink lotus and white water pods to the center. The borders having alternating panels of turquoise with floral and butterfly reserves and pink cell work with bianco-sopra-bianco reserves and edged in black.
Dimensions: Dish 13 inch diameter
Pair of plates 8 1/2 inch diameter.
Provenance: Property from a Greater Philadelphia Estate,
Dish with Matthew & Elisabeth Sharpe Antiques, Spring Mill, Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, October 28, 1983.
