Set of Six Japanese Celadon Butterfly Chop Stick Rests

About the Item

A colorful and fine set of Six Japanese Glazed Pottery Chop Stick Rests in Butterfly Form. The color is a deep Celadon and the Butterflies, with open wings, have fine incised line inlay details on the wings with two tiny black dots at the head. Beautifully crafted with good weight and stability. Housed in the original wood box and still containing the original tissue. Dimensions: Each Butterfly measures 2.75” wide by 1.5” deep by .25” high. Box measures 7.5” wide by 4” deep by 2” high. Condition: Please see detail photos. Various acceptable signs of age include time borne craklure to the glaze and there is a dark pencil like mark to the box lid mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is light, colorful and very fine.
