19th Century George III Silverplated Tea Caddy

About the Item

Charming 19th century George III silverplated tea caddy. A well-formed, rounded rectangular body with gadrooned trim and drop ring handles sits on ball feet and features a unique dual hinge top and floral finial. Nicely fitted with fine appointments, this caddy makes a beautiful addition to your tea service or decorative piece for a silver vignette on your buffet, in a display case, on a coffee table, bookshelf or desk. Comes with a little spoon. When the tops are open, they sit a bit skewed from one another. Some wearing through of the copper base in certain areas giving it lovely character.
