A fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver coffee jug in the Art Deco style; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver coffee jug has a plain circular rounded form in the Art Deco style. The surface of the coffee jug is plain and unembellished with an applied molded rim to the base. This fine coffee jug is fitted with a hinged hallmarked circular cover which retains the original impressive Art Deco style fibre finial. This fine example of vintage teaware has a shaped fibre handle in the iconic Art Deco style incorporating a shaped, integrated thumbpiece and plain sterling silver sockets. Condition This vintage coffee jug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The coffee jug has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The interior of the coffee jug has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the surface and part hallmarks to the cover are all very clear. This fine example of vintage teaware is fitted with the original carved wood C-shaped handle, in the iconic Design style, with a continuation of the arch to the plain silver sockets. The coffee jug is supported by a plain circular swept foot. NOTE: This piece has been crafted in the same institution known for educating the renowned silversmith Gerald Benney; he spent his early years studying at the Brighton Art College between 1946-1948.
