19th century Georgian Style Sterling Silver Coffee Server

About the Item

Sterling silver coffee server made by Watson Silver featuring a truncated cone on a spread base, S-scroll spout, hinged and domed cover with wooden finial and wooden scroll handle. Weight: 665 GRAMS. Hallmarked on bottom Sterling Silver B113S 2 Pints Exemplar, circa 1735. See measurements below. Watson Silver was co-founded in 1880 by Clarence Watson and Fred Newell in Attleboro, Massachusetts as Watson, Newell and Co. The company specialized in producing fine sterling silver hollowware and flatware. The company became known as the Watson Silver Company by 1915, and was eventually acquired by Wallace Silversmiths in 1955.
