European Classical silver sugar caster, ca 1900. Baluster on stepped foot mounted to square base; cover domed with pierced and open ornament and vasiform finial. Diaper inset with quatrefoils on stippled ground. Egg-and-dart and gadrooning. Beautiful and nicely proportioned. Bears pseudo-Dutch marks. Possibly German. Weight: 11 troy ounces.
