A fine antique Victorian English sterling silver vinaigrette; an addition to our silver boxes collection This fine antique Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette has a rectangular shaped form. The surface of the vinaigrette is embellished with bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration incorporating a vacant circular cartouche to the centre of the cover. The sides of the box are ornamented with bright cut engraved simplified water leaf designs. The hinged silver vinaigrette cover allows access to the original hinged, pierced decorated silver gilt grille. The vinaigrette retains its original gilt interior. Condition This antique vinaigrette is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp. Full hallmarks to the interior of the cover, and part hallmarks to the grille and interior of the base are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver castle top vinaigrette depicting Abbotsford House; an addition to our collectable box collection This exceptional antique Victorian silver vinaigrette has a rectangular form with rounded corners. The cover of this fine vinaigrette is embellished with a scene of Abbotsford House in high relief. The sides of the box are encompassed with panels of undulating ornamentation. The underside of the box is ornamented with engine turned decoration incorporating a rectangular cartouche displaying the contemporary engraved inscription 'J.E to S.E, 17th April 1821'. Both the base and cover are embellished with applied scrolling leaf decorated borders. The hinged silver vinaigrette cover allows access to the original hallmarked hinged, pierced decorated silver gilt grille and original gilded interior. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George IV English cast sterling silver vinaigrette; an addition to our diverse collectable silverware collection. This exceptional antique George IV cast sterling silver vinaigrette is realistically modelled in the form of a cornucopia. The cast silver horn-shaped cornucopia container is encompassed with bands of ribbed decoration, accented with a spiralling terminal. The rim of the horn is further embellished with a cast leaf decorated border. The upper portion of the horn is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover embellished with an embossed and chased floral bouquet design. The cover opens to reveal the original hinged grille and gilt interior. The gilded grille is ornamented with a bright cut engraved and pierced decorated scrolling leaf design.
