An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver and mother of pearl fruit/dessert cutlery set for eighteen persons - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver and mother of pearl dessert service consists of eighteen knives and eighteen forks. The blades of the Victorian knives have a rounded form and the forks each have four tines/prongs. The surface of each knife blade and drop of each fork is embellished with an impressive contemporary bright cut engraved crest of on a mural crown with a heron's head erased. Each piece of this antique silver dessert service is fitted with the original and impressive, large tapering mother of pearl handle. The knives and forks retain the original sterling silver ferrules ornamented with embossed leaf ornamentation. Each mother of pearl knife and fork is fitted to the fine and impressive original hinged rose wood canteen box with a lift up lid and two lift out trays. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver and mother of pearl handled fruit/dessert service for six persons - boxed; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver and mother of pearl fruit/dessert service for six persons consists of six fruit knives and six fruit forks. The impressive sabre style knife blades have a broad incurved shaped form, and the forks have three tines with a rounded, baluster shaped shaft. The anterior surface of each knife blade is embellished with exceptional bright cut engraved scrolling leaf and foliate decoration, accented with a plain paralleling border to one side; the posterior surface is plain and unembellished. Each piece of this fruit cutlery set is fitted with the original and impressive pistol grip mother of pearl handles. The handles are each ornamented with paralleling borders to the shaped rims. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver fruit serving set consists of a pair of fruit serving / berry spoons and a pair of grape shears. Each piece has exceptional scrolling leaf decorated handles, accented with paralleling incurved borders, in addition to bright cut engraved geometric detailing. The posterior surface of each piece is plain and unembellished. The serving/berry spoons have elongated, rounded bowls embellished with exceptional chased floral and scrilling leaf ornamentation amidst bead borders; the outer rim of each spoon has a crimped finish. The interior of each silver spoon bowl retains the original gilding. The fine pair of antique Victorian sterling silver grape shears has a hinged scissor action. The handles of the grape scissors reflect the identical ornamentation of that to the spoons, in addition to bright cut engraved rounded fingerpieces. All the cutlery is meticulously crafted and decorated with a 'Queens Pattern' design.
