About the Item

Chinese Export, sterling silver powder/talc holder/shaker, China, Ca. 1900. Decorated with an etched, full dragon that wraps itself around the holder/shaker. Holder is also lightly hammered in design. Vacant cartouche. Closure mechanism on cap/lid is working, and closes the holes in the cap so the powder does not spill when item is not in use. Measures 4 1/2 inches high (at highest point) x 2 1/2 inches wide (at widest point) x 1 1/2 inches deep (at deepest point). Weighs 4.795 troy ounces. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
