Circa 1846-57 set of 2 tablespoons & 2 serving spoons, coin silver, Skinner & Sweet, Boston, MA. Handsome & heavy; lightly double-swelled; uptipt fiddleback with obverse engraving "Towne". The Townes were one of Salem & Boston's oldest families. Marked Skinner & Sweet. Alvah Skinner & James Sweet. Maker's marks on tablespoons are rubbed but distinguishable. 6.35 troy oz.
