He also published three brochures on the occasion of the Universal Expositions of 1867, 1878 and 1889. In forty-eight years into his career, he created around 5,000 prestigious pieces, most of them for the great French sanctuaries such as Lourdes, La Salette or even Fourvière, but also for monasteries and especially for the Abbey of Saint-Pierre de Solesmes. He also creates original works for Popes Pius IX and Leo XIII. At present, about 1,000 drawings from his studio are kept in the Fourvière museum in Lyon.
