About the Item
George 111 silver tooth powder box, 1798, Joseph Taylor, Birmingham
Unusual Georgian box with two compartments flush hinged in the centre for your dentifrice powder, with
bright cut edging. The small spike at the end was used to pull the whole box out of its leather case as it was usually a tight fit.
The leather cases rarely last, but silver is forever.
