Late 19th Century Lebkuecher Sterling Silver and French Glass Vase Arts & Crafts

About the Item

Late 19th / early 20th century Lebkuecher with French art glass vase in Galle style with natural green and gilt motifs standing on a square, pierced sterling silver base with decorative twirls and a beaded junction between the glass and the base, all in exquisite Arts & Crafts Style. It measures 11 1/2'' tall by 2 1/2'' in diameter at the top while the square base measures 3 1/2'' in length, and bears hallmarks as shown. Lebkuecher was a Newark-based silversmith, active in the 1890s and early 1900s, who is renowned for his Arts & Crafts objects.
