About the Item

A complete sterling silver tea and coffee service by Hardy Bros. Sydney, comprising a tea pot, coffee pot, hot water pot, sugar basin and creamer. Decorated in a mid-century pattern with plain bodies and stepped bases. Hallmarked for Hardy Bros on each piece. The three pots have synthetic material handles and lid knops. Each piece is engraved underneath the base with" HAA-GHA 25th Nov 1950" This stands for Helen A Arnott [nee Johnson] and Geoffrey Harold Arnott on their 25th wedding anniversary, 1950. Geoffrey Arnott was of the Arnott's Biscuits family and was its Managing Director from 1954. Passed down by decent until recently. Silver weight is, tea pot, 640gm, coffee pot, 480gm, water jug, 460gm, sugar basin, 200gm, cream jug, 160gm, total, 1940gm. In pristine condition.
