Midcentury Period Sterling Silver and Glass Hors d'oeuvres/Caviar Platter
About the Item
Mid-Century Modern period, sterling silver and glass hors d'oeuvres/caviar platter, the Watson Company, Attleboro, Mass., circa 1950s. Glass dip/caviar holder (which is part of the platter) is covered by a sterling silver lid. Glass border of platter is etched in a floral pattern. Overall measurement are: 4 inches high (to top of sterling finial) x 9 1/2 inches diameter of platter, the bowl itself is 1 1/2 inches high x a little under 5 inches diameter. Lid weighs 2.400 troy ounces. Dark spots in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
