This bowl has an Art Deco style to it; the symmetrical cut-outs along the edge. On the inside eight indented shapes give the bowl another dimension of the Art Deco style.

This bowl was made at the height of the Arts & Crafts movement, beginning of the 20th century. It has a course, hand-hammered texture that reflects the craftsmanship of the silversmith. The Arts & Crafts movement stood for traditional craftsmanship using simple forms, and often used medieval, romantic, or folk styles of decoration.
