Pair of Sterling Silver Leaf Dishes

About the Item

We are delighted to offer you this pair of sterling silver leaf dishes by Reed and Barton hall-marked 1952. They have scalloped edges and an etched pattern in the leaf mimicking a real leaf. In the center a handle allows for you to carry and pass the dish from on top. Perfect for sweets and salty treats on a coffee table or bar. The only thing prettier than this dish is the fact that there are two!

First produced in 1907 by the American silversmith company, Reed & Barton, this pair of sterling silver platters has repousse fruit motifs. Repousse is a metalwork technique where the verso (back) side is hammered to produce low relief images that can be seen when viewing the front. Curled leaves and C-scrolls seamlessly alternate along the outside of the platter to form scalloped edges.
