Period Louis XVI sterling table spoon, Paris, 1789 A tour de force of the Louis XVI style with applied medallion handle. The oval flat edge gold-washed bowl is engraved with leaf and vine decoration. Bearing hallmark of crown above P/89, a silversmiths hallmark of a JL under Fleur de Lys, 8" long, 2.5 Troy ounces.
