Superb circa 1870s art silver sterling silver ice spoon, not pierced, with 3D polar bear on handle ( 10 1/4" in the pattern Polar Bear by Gorham. This outstanding piece celebrates the 1867 purchase of the Alaska Territory from Russia and the interest in the Polar Regions (and ice before refrigerators) at that time. It is not monogrammed, and is in excellent condition.
