This extraordinary, large-scale mezuzah is a rare and striking example of contemporary Judaica, crafted from sterling silver and brass. Measuring an impressive 24 centimeters long by 4 centimeters wide, this mezuzah embodies bold design with a commanding presence.
The mezuzah features a sterling silver front panel, adorned near the top with a beautifully stylized Hebrew letter "Shin" (ש). At the lower end, a gracefully curved sterling silver loop cradles a black onyx stone, adding a touch of contrast and elegance. The brass scroll holder is secured with a cork stopper, showing signs of age, slight bends, and a small ding, as seen in the detailed photos.
Marked “Sterling” and signed “Pica & Joan Adria Kahn”, this mezuzah bears a 1994 copyright date, indicating its creation in the late 20th century.
