Specifications:
The casserole is based on three slim feet with leafy endings welded on bowl's smooth surface. The cambered lid of dish - edged by chiselled borders covering smooth surface - is topped with knob having an acorn's appearance / it is surrounded by leafy ring. Finally, there is a wooden stick having a handle's function attached to bowl.

1. SILVER 812.5 (SILVER 13 LOT) = VIENNESE SO-SAID RADELPUNZE WITH DATE 1827
2. master’s mark existing: it is a bit rubbed

Elegant, festive silver vessel in an oval shape on a stepped base with projecting, pierced rocaille elements, pierced decoration also on the upper rim of the wall with irregular edges, front and back panels surrounded by volutes and rocailles, the narrow sides with towering and intertwined volutes forming two handles, gilded interior.
Matching glass insert with upper edge adapted to the silver vessel, cut stone and fan decoration, lens cut, star base.

The substantial oval body having open handles, richly decorated with embossed & engraved foliate motifs & centered by blank foliate cartouches, the conforming lid bearing engraved heraldic crests.
Raised overall upon a stepped oval foot, with the underside bearing impressed factory marks for Elkington & Co., together with date letter for 1884.
In extremely good overall condition, and priced competitively in comparison to similar examples in the marketplace.
