About the Item

Gentleman's Silver & Leather Pocket Hip Flask By James Dixon. A silver spirit hip flask made by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield. The pocket hip flask has the upper portion of the glass flask ornamented in leather (simulated crocodile skin) with level viewing windows cut into both sides. This exceptional hip flask with plain domed hinged lid with screw bayonet fitting and push fit drinking cup (height 4.2 cm / 1½ inches), all hallmarked Sheffield with James Dixon & Sons mark. On one side of the drinking cup can be found JD & S with date stamp V (1938), whilst on the top the date stamp is W (1939). Drinking also engraved with the initials 'A.D.J.R.'. Dimensions: Height 12 cm / 4 3⁄4" Width 7.2 cm / 3" Depth 2.5 cm / 1"
