Gorgeous Silver Pair of Nicest Candlesticks of finest manufacturing quality as well as of most elegant appearance. - These candlesticks were made during HIGH VICTORIAN PERIOD (c.1875-80). They are stunningly made in following manner: Surface of both candlesticks is excellently ornamented with chasing / chiselled work consisting of bulgings and curved lines / the candlesticks are attached to broad feet having scalloped edge. Additionally, each of the candlesticks has two arms with grommet of cylindric form type. ____________________________________________________________________________________ made c.1875 - 80 HIGH VICTORIAN STYLE 1. branded by two hallmarks having appearance of coat of arms (= possibly a town mark) 2. additionally, sign 'IX' with star and cross is engraved (= possibly a master's mark) Design and style of these marks are pointing to a manufactory situated in Spain or Portugal. ____________________________________________________________________________________ MEASURES: height: 27.5 cm / 10.82 inches diameter of foot: 13.0 cm / 5.11 inches width: 23.0 cm / 9.055 inches (measured at arms) TOTAL SILVER WEIGHT: 900 GRAMS / 31.68 OZ / 28.93 TROY OUNCES ________________________________________________________________________ CONDITION: EXCELLENT (there aren't any damages existing) the spots visible on pictures derive only from flashlight
