Sterling Silver Creamer by French Master Silversmith Andre Aucoc

About the Item

A fine quality French sterling silver creamer bearing the makers mark Aucoc. This most elegant pot has smooth surface and is intricately decorated. Additionally, there is an elegant beaked spout and a wooden handle. Maitre Andre Aucoc is one of the most prestigious silversmiths who was in Paris during the 1800s. Aucoc inherited the family jewelry business, La Maison Aucoc, in Paris from his elder brother, Louis. When he ran the company in the late 19th and early 20th Century, he changed its focus from the production of jewelry to silverware. This sterling silver cream pot made by André Aucoc will grace your table and delight your guests. Maitre silversmith Andre Aucoc became a famous and very painstaking master in 1887, but unfortunately for us, died in 1911. He was located 6 rue de la Paix (in front of the famous design house Cartier) in Paris. Marked with the French Minerve mark under the rim although illegible, also bears the maker's marks and the signature on the bottom. This item is not monogrammed.
