About the Item

A very stylish sterling silver Art Deco six piece condiment service, having octagonal Tapered-sided bodies, with original blue-glass liners, pull-off lids on the peppers, hinged lids on the mustards, and all in their original beige velvet and cream satin-lined presentation box. Consisting of two mustard pots, two pepper pots, two salt cellars, and four condiment spoons. Made by Mappin and Webb of Birmingham in 1938 The dimensions of this Fine hand-made sterling silver condiment service are height of peppers 7 cms (2.75 inches), length of mustard 6.5 cms (2.5 inches), and a total weight of approx. 257g (8.26 troy ounces). . Please note that the silver condiment spoons are made by William Neale & Sons Ltd of Birmingham in 1938 and they are original to the set. This is presented in virtually unused perfect condition and any marks you see are just light reflections. This is ready for immediate use.

A Top quality antique Victorian hallmarked sterling silver four piece teaset comprising of a teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and jug particularly nice as it has been kept it in such superb condition and is immaculate throughout. This superb quality set is Comprising a coffee pot, teapot, milk jug and a twin handled sugar bowl. Each of compressed circular form with quarter-fluted base and a flat-chased acanthus band. Each with an everted beaded rim. The pots (1883) with a curved spout opposite a reeded strap handle with acanthus junctions and insulators. An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage George VI English sterling silver Art Deco style three piece condiment set - boxed; an addition to our vintage silverware collection. This exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver three-piece condiment set consists of a salt, a pepper pot and a mustard pot. The pieces of this fine silver condiment set have a plain cylindrical tapering form onto a circular foot. The surface of each piece is embellished with concentric bands of tooled decoration, all in the iconic Art Deco style. The mustard pot is fitted with an angular handle with a plain upper plateau. The mustard pot retains the original hinged hallmarked domed cover, ornamented with tiered concentric circular decoration and surmounted with an Art Deco style tapering cylindrical finial. The pepper pot is fitted with a push fit cover with pierced 'pepper' holes. The salt and mustard pot are fitted with removable blue glass liners. This vintage silver condiment set is supplied with associate salt and mustard spoons. These fine examples of vintage silverware are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with two hinged catches. The interior of the box bears the retailer's mark 'By Appointment, Mappin & Webb Ltd, Sheffield & London' and each component of the condiment set bears the retailer's mark 'Mappin & Webb Ltd, Sheffield & London'. The exceptional condiment set will have been crafted in the same year, but due to the hallmarking system the mustard pot is struck with the date letter 'D', whereas the pepper and salt bear the date letter 'E'.
