Rare Bird by Wendt, circa 1872, sterling silver Flatware set - 72 pieces. This multi-motif Japonesque pattern has a bamboo design running up the handle, with a swooping or plunging bird amidst assorted flora. This set includes:

8 Dinner Forks, 7 3/8"
8 Luncheon/Dessert Forks, 6 5/8"
8 Teaspoons, 5 3/4"
8 Demitasse Spoons, gold-washed, 4"
8 Large Dinner Spoons/Serving spoons, 8 1/2"
8 Ice Cream Spoons, gold-washed, 6"
8 4 O'clock Spoons
1 Gravy Ladle, 7"
1 Preserve spoon, shell bowl, 7"
1 Salad Serving Set, 2-pc, lightly gold-washed, stippled, 11 7/8"

Excellent condition, most pieces with no monograms, some pieces with varying monograms on the reverse. Some handles in this pattern bend down at the tip and some curve up. This set will be lightly polished and sealed in individual plastic sleeves prior to shipping. Fabulous!
