The handle of the spoon is engraved in Biedermeijer style. The silver spoon has the Dutch silver hallmarks. The "Lion 2" for silver purity of 833/000. The Minerva head (office letter faded) The Year letter M for 1871.
The silversmith maker's hallmark is for Jan de Groot (used from 1851-1886) Rotterdam
