Medallion sterling silver soup ladle. Made by Wood & Hughes in New York, ca 1870. Beaded and stippled oval with left-facing female (Diana) profile surmounted by scallop shell. Fluted stem has scrolls on lined ground. Oval gilt-washed bowl. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Larmour & Co.). Weight: 6.5 troy ounces.
