About the Item

I offer for sale an extremely decorative and fun element to set your table. Produced in Italy between the 1970s and 1980s, this soup tureen is attributable to a successful series that included numerous tableware in the shape of fruit and vegetables. This series, which recalls the Portuguese production of Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics, was produced by "Italica ARS", a company founded in the 1920s in the province of Florence and no longer active today. This Vintage Tureen is entirely made of handcrafted majolica and can be used to contain classic hot soup but also cold pasta. For example, the Italian recipe always contains pachino cherry tomatoes and rocket. But I also think it's perfect for Gazpacho or a Bloody Mary to serve as Punch at a party. The item measures: 25 cm in diameter by 16.5 cm in height. The lower container of the tureen is 11cm deep. The brilliant glazes and its tomato shape make it irresistible. The object is in good vintage condition, it has a 2 tiny imperfection which we have highlighted in the photo. All other items visible in the photos are available for sale on our page.
