About the Item
An elegant wine cooler by Parisian designer Jean Després (1889-1980). One of the most innovative jewellery and silver artist active in France during the first half of the 20th century, his works are characterized by excellent design and high craftsmanship.
This piece is a decorative objet d'art aswell as striking functional element of barware. It is fully signed with the JD maker's mark near the handle and an incised signature to the reverse bottom.
Its proportions are generous, height 26 cm, diameter 18 cm, the width handle to handle is 22 cm, weight 1796g.
