About the Item
Designed as a companion piece to Zelouf & Bell’s Champagne Cart, the Serpent Champagne Cooler in hedge green bird’s-eye maple features a graphic marquetry serpent motif inlaid in figured muted grey-green ripple sycamore.
While seated on ink faux-shagreen feet, and clad in a hand-rubbed satin lacquer finish, the chest is nonetheless consummately functional. The piece possesses an insulated stainless steel cooler and hidden sterling silver handles, and is flanked by concealed drawers that store a set of eight coasters, each adored with its own unique serpent marquetry motif.
