Small Money Box "Magdalena" in the Style of Stobwasser Braunschweig

About the Item

Small money box " Magadalena" in the style of Stobwasser Braunschweig. The piggy bank is made of painted tin and is reminiscent of the tin boxes finely painted by Stobwasser Braunschweig. The painting of the money tin is to look like tortoise shell and is kept in black and dark red. On the front of the cylindrical box, with a slit in the lid and a handle on the side, is the name "Magdalena" in gold script. This particular piece is from Germany circa 1840. A small but lovely collector's item that tells quite a bit of history.
