About the Item
Cookie tin from the german company Gaedke around 1900. Gaedke was a cocoa chocolate jam and cookie factory located in Hamburg in the early 20th century.
The notable features of this tin are firstly the protruding rim of the lid, the square format and the lithographed image on the top of the lid. Pictured is a pair of farmers chewing on blades of grass while leaning against a fence.
The tin has a great patina with rusty spots. Except for the signs of use due to age, the tin is in good condition.
