About the Item
A tin house, its structure cold and raw. A gaping hole at its center, like an explosion. Inside, two pink figures, nude and stunned. Their round eyes, mouths agape—surprise, unease, intimacy laid bare.
The tension is immediately palpable in this wall piece by artist Bernie. Austere metal against childlike softness. Gray tin against candy-pink flesh. The house encloses, protects, yet it is breached.
