Enameled Steel Sign For "Tourist Fruit Room"

About the Item

Great Vintage Enameled Steel Trade Sign For "Tourist Fruit Room." Of course! This is a period enameled steel plaque from the RMS QUEEN ELIZABETH, 1946 - 1969, marking the refrigerated room where fruit baskets were stored for tourists going ashore on picnics at their various ports of call. Unique! A great eye-catching period sign in good-as-expected condition while unmistakably showing its age. The enamel surface has chipped away around the fastening screw holes and at a few other spots around the edges, only adding to the period look. Measures: 9 in H x 20 in W x 1/8 in Thick
