About the Item

A late 19th Century hanging trade sign, modeled as a Pocket watch. The double sided cast iron shop sign with remains of original paint and gilt bezel with winder. Inscribed to the domed and zinc dials "R H Peters Watches Clocks Jewelry". Provenance: Sold in Christies (Lot 135) “Oak Country furniture, folk art and works of Art sale “July 2002".
