Rare Painted Antique Lead Watchmaker’s Shop Sign

About the Item

An outstanding piece of Folk Art, this Pocket Watch form Lead sign has a painted face with Roman numerals in the 9:00 position. Cast into the outer frame are the words, “Watches, Jewelry, Clocks” and painted on the face is the shop owners name, “F.D. Ruttenberg”. The watch fob and winder are nicely detailed and also act as a hangar with the sign painted on both the front and back as to be seen while strolling by from either side. Dimensions: height 26” depth 2.5” width 17.75”. The diameter of the watch face is 17.75”. Condition: Please see detail photos. The sign has losses to the paint and some age related expected and acceptable wear which do not detract from the fine Folk Art presentation.
