Rara insegna pubblicitaria smaltata a fuoco, prodotta in Italia negli anni ’50 per la promozione delle lampadine Philips. La grafica raffigura una grande lampadina stilizzata con onde blu su sfondo nero e la scritta “PHILIPS” in giallo, tipica della comunicazione visiva mid-century.
Realizzata in lamiera smaltata, presenta segni evidenti del tempo, con perdita di smalto e ruggine che ne confermano l’autenticità e il fascino industriale.
Sul bordo inferiore si legge chiaramente il nome dello smaltatore: R. Covassin – Milano, realtà manifatturiera probabilmente attiva nel settore della cartellonistica tra gli anni ’40 e ’60.
Le insegne smaltate erano un mezzo pubblicitario molto diffuso nel dopoguerra, particolarmente apprezzato per la brillantezza dei colori e la loro resistenza agli agenti atmosferici. Oggi sono oggetti da collezione sempre più ricercati, soprattutto se legati a brand storici come Philips.
