About the Item
This beautiful truck is a fine example of the wonderful cast iron toys that were made in the U.S. in the first half of the 20th century. Having original dark green paint and iron wheels, and in condition that is so hard to find. No touch ups, repairs, repaint or any other restorations were done to this truck. A great original adult, or child's toy.

The Pelican Mechanical Bank is made of cast iron and was manufactured by The J. & E. Steven's Manufacturing Company, in Cromwell, Connecticut in 1878. It was, however, created by John Gerard of the Trenton Lock & Hardware Company in Trenton, New Jersey.
