Beautiful, impressively sized and elaborately carved "Tree of Life" sculpture from Tanzania, Africa. These carvings are created from a single piece of wood and feature "Ujamma" or a concept that emphasizes family and community.
The sculpture features figures stacked on top of one and other suggesting a collective or unified group. The figures are intricately carved showcasing a great dal of craftsmanship.
There is some slight variation to the color of the wood (see close up images).
