Antique Man’s Ceremonial Beaded Vest (Kuton), Gadding, Philippines This Gaddang man’s ceremonial vest is from the Cordillera region in northern Luzon, Philippines. It’s composed of tightly woven cotton patterned in a dense composition of vertical bands in white, red and blue. Glass beadwork adorns the lower section of the vest, the bottom hem and neck, with beaded tassels on both the front and back of the vest, as well as its sides. In very good condition, with no apparent loss of beadwork, and no repairs or restoration. 1st Half 20th Century. Width: 21 inches, Height: 12 inches
