Charming 1950s German Alpine Pendant Light with Carved and Painted Wooden Climber
This delightful German figural pendant light from the 1950s features a beautifully hand-carved and hand-painted wooden figure of a mountaineer, styled in traditional Alpine attire. The smiling climber dangles playfully from a rope, grasping an ornate metal lantern with textured glass panels, which casts a soft and atmospheric glow.
The figure is richly painted in earthy, warm tones—deep brown pants, a red-brown jacket, and a green hat adorned with a feather—capturing the spirit and detail of Alpine folk art. His expressive face, carefully painted features, and dynamic pose add a lifelike and storybook charm to the piece.
The lantern below is crafted from metal with decorative scrollwork and mottled textured glass. The canopy above, styled like a mountain flower or acanthus bloom, completes the Alpine motif.

This eye-catching rattan chandelier features a pagoda shape rattan hanging lamp with oriental inspired design. The lampshade is made of an intricate of rattan canes and it hangs from a chain made of round rattan links. Topped by a wooden canopy.
It has been carefully restored and newly wired with beige twisted cotton cloth electrical wire and an E27 bulb holder.
It will be a nice addition hanging over a kitchen's table or dining area. Perfect for a beach house, countryside house or urban appartment.
