1960s Tito Agnoli Model #4409 Suspension Lamp for O-Luce.
This iconic pendant is executed in metal with two pressed glass elements ingeniously held together by curved sculptural steel clips. An incredibly clean and refined design by one of the Italian lighting icons of the era.

O-Luce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by discerning collectors.

Each lamp accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard medium base (e26) LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with adjustable max 60" drop. Retains original ceiling plate which has been professionally modified for mounting over a standard US j-box. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please note that only one representative example is featured in the listing images, but all lamps in similarly good condition and present well as a set. Some differences from lamp to lamp.

Tito Agnoli
Prolific designer Tito Agnoli created imaginative furniture with a singular mix of natural and industrial materials. Designing in the modern and mid-century modern styles, he made sofas, armchairs and daybeds from leather, bamboo and rattan as well as metal table lamps and floor lamps.
Born into an Italian family in Peru in 1931, Agnoli studied at the Faculty of Architecture in Milan. In 1949, he graduated with a degree in architecture from Politecnico di Milano. While there, he became acquainted with designers Gio Ponti and Carlo De Carli. He later worked with them as an assistant, learning to create austere pieces with flawless dimensions.
Utilizing this knowledge, he developed his own practice and worked with many Italian producers, including Arflex, Cinova, Lema, Matteo Grassi, Molteni, Montina, Oluce, Pierantonio Bonacina, Poltrona Frau, Schiffini and Ycami.
Agnoli received prestigious nominations for the Compasso d’Oro award. At the 1986 NeoCon exhibition in Chicago, he won a gold medal. His works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
